Due to the high number of needle entry points during the procedure, careful monitoring of the healing process is important, particularly in terms of potential infection risk. Accordingly, the routine use of a topical antibiotic cream for one week is recommended in the post-procedural period. Owing to multiple needle insertions, there is a low but present risk of superficial infection in the early post-procedural phase; therefore, patients should be monitored accordingly. In cases where infection develops, the lesions are typically minimal in size and do not affect the treatment outcome. In such cases, a one-week course of oral antibiotics is sufficient to achieve complete resolution without any permanent damage.

Although sun exposure does not have a direct harmful effect, patients are advised not to go outdoors without sunscreen for at least one week after the procedure in order to support optimal skin healing.

In addition, approximately two weeks are required for the hyaluronic acid to fully integrate with the surrounding tissue. During this period, it is recommended to avoid any factors that may exert pressure on the treated areas. In particular, strong facial massage should be avoided, patients should refrain from sleeping face down, and the treated areas should not be irritated by shaving with a razor or electric shaver.
