Scar filler procedures are medical aesthetic treatments that can be performed throughout all seasons of the year, without any specific seasonal limitation. Although multiple needle insertions are involved during the procedure, the application is carried out at the superficial dermal level, and the integrity of the epidermis (the outermost layer of the skin) is preserved. Therefore, no epidermal exfoliation or barrier disruption occurs, and an increased sensitivity to ultraviolet (UV) radiation is not expected following the procedure.

 

In this context, sun exposure after scar filler treatment is not anticipated to have a directly harmful effect. However, in order to protect overall skin health and to support optimal post-procedural recovery, the regular use of sunscreen is recommended for at least 7 days after the procedure. With appropriate sun protection, it is safe to be outdoors in sunny conditions following the treatment.
